REMEMBER HOW TO SIGHT SING! :)
Here is a PDF of some sight singing exercises (I also posted it in TEAMS.) Practice them a bit this week! All of them start on "Do". Then, join my FLIPGRID. Get the app (phone or tablet) or go online, and use the FLIP CODE to join. FLIPCODE: ahern5th6thchorus PASSWORD: chorusistheBEST :) Record yourself singing one of the exercises and send it to me! (You can either use the video so I can see you, or turn the camera around and just record your voice if you are more comfortable with that. No problem!) The preferences are set that the video will only go to me, and won't be available for anyone but me to see and hear. I can't wait to hear you sing! EXTRA CREDIT: Participate in the FOXBORO FAMILY MUSIC CHALLENGE: WEEK #3 and have a porch concert! :) |

Here is a PDF of two simple sight reading songs. Choose one of the two songs and try to sight sing it! Option 3: Smart Music Solfege There are 5 short exercises that need to be completed by Friday. Need help with SmartMusic? Read the “SmartMusic Instructions” document in Teams or attached to my email. Chorus Assignments 3/30: Please choose (2) out of (3) below to complete!
Option 1: SmartMusic Singing!
Each chorus class has been working on a piece in SmartMusic for the past 2 weeks. Please submit the assignment (record yourself singing the piece in SmartMusic) and I will send feedback.
Option 2: Be the Chorus Teacher!
Search the "choir" music section on SmartMusic. Listen to at least 3-5 other pieces. Find one that you really like, and fill out this form telling me what you chose and why!
Option 3: Find-A-Scale Project
I made a YOUTUBE VIDEO explaining this project!
Find items around your house to create a major scale - but you can not use a "traditional" instrument or your voice! I used glasses (you can too, if you want!) and filled them with water (very carefully) to make a major scale. What songs can you play? Be as creative as you want! Then fill out this form: there is an option to upload a file. Take a picture or video of you playing your creative method and show me what you found! If you have a sibling in chorus, you may work on this project together. You must have at least Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So in your scale. If you have "la ti do"...bonus points!
